Painting and shukaturny works are an integral part of any repair or construction. The importance of their high-quality implementation should not be underestimated - any error will clearly negatively affect the appearance of the repair of an apartment, office, or cottage. A carelessly executed renovation, with bumps on the walls and ceilings, curved corners, simply cannot look beautiful.

Irregularities in the walls not only protrude through the paint and wallpaper, but also significantly complicate the tiling when repairing the bathroom or repairing the kitchen. Strong and even installation of tiles or mosaics is only possible on well prepared and leveled walls.

Purpose of painting and plastering works

Plaster is a finishing layer of material applied to surfaces.

First of all, the work is aimed at leveling the surfaces for the subsequent application of decorative coatings and finishing the apartment.

Irregularities in walls, ceilings and floors are found not only in the battered Khrushchevs. When renovating an apartment in a new building in a modern panel house, this is also not at all uncommon, but rather what one would expect with a rough, and maybe even a fine finish from the developer.

For the subsequent high-quality finishing of ceilings, walls, flooring, it is necessary to achieve perfect evenness of all surfaces, and bring the corners in the room to 90 degrees.

The importance of these works cannot be underestimated. Curvature of surfaces and corners, wavy walls - all this will adversely affect not only when gluing wallpaper, laying laminate and other things. When arranging furniture, its even corners and ends will perfectly highlight all the disadvantages of the repair.

However, surfaces are plastered not only for leveling - the application of plaster allows you to increase the heat and sound insulation of the room.

Also, with the help of plaster, they bring design ideas to life, for example, create a curly or rough texture of walls and ceilings.

It is quite understandable that when redeveloping a room, that is, demolishing, or erecting interior partitions, you also cannot do without alignment.

Types of painting and plastering works

Depending on the condition, material of the surfaces to be plastered, as well as on what kind of coating will be applied to them in the future, the work is divided into two types.

The first type is rough plaster. It is used to create a uniform, gap-free coating layer. Cement plaster must be used in a room with high humidity. That is, when carrying out repairs in the bathroom, or repairing the balcony, this work is done without fail to increase the waterproofing of the walls.

The second type is dry plaster or gypsum plaster. It is quickly assembled, but further surface finishing can be carried out the next day. Also, the prices for these plastering and painting works are higher. However, dry gypsum plaster is not suitable for all rooms, and is also inferior in terms of the minimum application thickness.

According to the thoroughness of the execution, and, accordingly, the cost of plastering and painting work, they are also divided into three types:

  1. Simple. It is applied in two layers of solution and is used, as a rule, in the repair of a warehouse, inexpensive, budgetary repair of an office or other production facility.
  2. Improved. It consists of three layers and is used in residential renovation.
  3. High quality. Consists of at least four layers. It is used in the repair of cottages, European-style renovation of apartments, as well as in the construction of private houses according to individual projects - that is, the same cottages.

There is mechanized plastering of walls that significantly increases the speed of work.

  • We carry out all work with the help of German plastering stations;
  • We carry out from 100 to 1000 square meters in 48 hours;
  • 4 times faster than manual.

The advantages are significant economical material consumption:

  • High quality spec. mixtures, cheaper than “Rotband” by 100 rubles;
  • There is no need to overpay to the masters for the putty before gluing the wallpaper;
  • 35% cheaper than handmade;
  • Delivery of materials at our expense;
  • Saving on the cost of materials and work up to 300 rubles per square meter.

For high-quality wall plastering, good materials and tools should be used. But even the use of expensive materials and high-quality repair and construction equipment is not enough - to achieve a good result, you need to have sufficient skill and experience.

Stages of painting and plastering works

Before applying any plaster, the surface is carefully prepared - the old layer is removed, a special compound called a primer is applied, which serves to create good adhesion of surfaces and their strengthening.

For highly absorbent surfaces, we use special primers that create a film that protects the plaster layer from cracking. For smooth subfloors we use the concrete contact primer.

Beacons are also installed. Lighthouses are galvanized profiles that are installed vertically and horizontally, using a laser plane, to expose a clear geometry of the room.

They are necessary in order to create correct angles, smooth walls, window slopes.

After the plaster layer has dried, we remove the beacons, because later they can give rust. Fill the remaining grooves with a mixture and align with the general plane of the wall using a special spatula.

As you understand, it is impossible to do it "by eye". Also for this purpose, the so-called "laser level" is used, which constantly clearly shows how the surfaces should look.

If the walls have large drops, as well as when plastering very old brick surfaces, a metal mesh is pre-mounted. It creates a stronger grip.

Attention should be paid to electrical work. For an aesthetic appearance of the room, the electrical wiring must be arranged in a hidden way - that is, hidden under a layer of plaster.

After leveling the walls, floors and ceilings, when the depressions and bulges are removed, and the corners are brought out at 90 degrees, a finishing putty is applied. It serves to create a smooth, non-porous surface, which is especially important for subsequent painting, or if the design project provides for completely paper wallpapers, or paper with a thin layer of vinyl. If the walls are porous, contain grains of sand from the base plaster - these finishing coatings will highlight such flaws.
