How to install plastic panels correctly. Finishing in the bathroom, toilet, kitchen
This versatile material can be used in any room. That is, there are no places where it would not be recommended to decorate the ceiling and walls with PVC panels. It is more fully possible to do this in the bathroom, in the toilet, in the kitchen, in the hallway …
You can also decide on the color scheme, it is very diverse there. If you want some useful advice, then if I were you, I would not decorate the bedroom and living room with this material. But this is everyone's business.
Let's get down to business. First of all, you must decide how much material you need. PVC sheets go from 2, 6 to 3 meters in length, and from 250 to 500 mm in width. But this is not the limit. If desired, you can find 6 - meter ones. And remember, always take with a margin, when it does not hurt.

And do not forget to purchase docking profiles (moldings) as in the photo on the left. They are designed to smoothly transition between panels. It is also advisable to buy them a little more (for a reserve).
In the process of work, you will need the following tools: tape measure, mounting level, puncher, screwdriver, scissors, square, hacksaw, stationery knife (preferably sharp), pencil, wood guides.

If the room is dry and flat, then you can proceed to fixing directly to the ceiling or other plane. If you want to make plastic walls and ceiling in the bathroom, then it is advisable to mount the panels on a metal or wooden frame from the guides. If you have an uneven surface and do not want to level it, then the frame is even more necessary. For the toilet, kitchen, balcony and other rooms, the technology of installing PVC panels remains unchanged.

So let's start finishing and installing the plastic panels. First, make a wireframe. For this you need slats 10 - 20 mm thick. In fact, making a wooden structure for PVC is very simple. Attach vertical slats and dowels to the wall, in 50 - 70 cm increments, using self-tapping screws. There are three horizontals on them (top, middle, bottom). The photo on the left and the video below shows how it looks.
The most important thing is that the horizontal slats are consistent in level. In short, they should be parallel to each other and at the same level.
To achieve this, you need a mounting level. It's simple, just make a montage of the frame, and then adjust it, see how it looks in the same photo.

To attach PVC to the frame, you need metal holders, as in the photo on the left. They are inserted into the joint edge of the panel. Then, we nail it with nails to the horizontal strips of the frame.
Now insert the sheets of material, press them tightly against each other and nail with the holder. Then everything is the same. You can also use a construction stapler to fix each panel or small screws. Don't forget the moldings. Use outer and inner docking profiles on the corners and finishing moldings on the sides. More details in the video at the end of the article.
You should be aware that when you are installing plastic panels in the kitchen, do not forget about the thermal expansion of the material. Fasten them together with a slight gap.
When finishing the ceiling with plastic panels, then remember about fillets around the perimeter of the ceiling. How to glue the ceiling plinth and cut the inner and outer corners - we have already figured out in detail.
And if you want to attach panels to the wall, then the process is similar to laying tiles on the wall. First, take the rail (preferably longer) and attach it to the wall one level at a time. This material adheres perfectly to liquid nails. Now, armed with this instruction, you can install them on any surface, in any room you need - kitchen, bathroom, balcony, toilet, corridor. The photo below shows examples of colors, there are even more of them, this is for example and watch an interesting video. You can read what new types of panels can be used in the interior in the article here.
