To level the concrete floor, you need to make a screed. Before that, the surface is cleaned of paint and oil stains, dust, and loose pieces of concrete are removed. If there are cracks or holes, they must be carefully repaired. After that, they begin to mark the level of the future floor. The site for self-repair of an apartment has prepared good instructions.

We start leveling the floor

The markings can be done using a regular, laser or water level. The water level works on the principle of communicating vessels. You will need a partner to mark up with this tool. One sets the flask in one of the corners of the room and makes a mark on the wall, and the second, moving along the perimeter of the room with the second flask, makes markings on all the other walls. In order to obtain a high-quality and durable floor, the thickness of the coating must be at least 30 mm.

Next, the surface should be primed, this increases the adhesion of the surface to the future screed. The primer also acts as a waterproofing layer. After the primer has dried, beacon guides are installed on the floor. They are displayed along the room throughout the entire area of the room. Edged boards or beams, as well as pipes, can be used as guides. It is most convenient to use a drywall profile. The first rail should be 20 mm - 30 mm from the wall. All subsequent ones - at a distance of up to 1100 mm from each other. The top of the rails should line up with the markings on the wall. Beacon rails are installed on a thick solution. After installation, it is better to check the levelness again with a level in all directions. Let the beacons dry out, and begin work on leveling the floor.

The alignment of the concrete floor along the beacons should start from the far corner of the room. The mixed solution is poured onto the floor, then leveled with the rule. All cavities and crevices must be carefully filled. When leveling the mortar over the surface, the rule should move along two parallel guides. After leveling the first batch of mortar, fill the second and flatten. When leveling the first and subsequent batches of mortar, it is necessary to ensure that a convex joint does not form due to the different consistency of the mortar. So the entire prepared surface is poured.

The new floor must be allowed to dry until it can be walked on without damage. All guides will need to be removed, and the resulting voids will need to be filled with solution and aligned. The floor is completely flooded with lighthouses, it dries from 10 to 30 days.

If the floor height differences do not exceed 1.5 cm, then it is more advisable to fill the floor with a self-leveling mixture.
