Installation of aluminum profiles

Installation of a profile for LED strip is possible with the following tools:

The installation of an aluminum profile for an LED strip must be carried out in such a way that the length of the strip and the profile are equal. Then a copper cable is soldered to the LED strip, which must be connected to the power supply for the LED strips. Then the back side of the LED strip is peeled off and glued to the aluminum profile.

When the tape is installed in the profile, a diffusing lens and plugs are installed on both sides. Fastening of the aluminum profile for the LED strip is carried out by gluing the profile body to the wall or any other flat surface.

Installation of polycarbonate profile

The polycarbonate profile can be installed in the same way. If it is necessary to install lighting on a surface with significant rounding, you will need to additionally attach the profile using self-tapping screws or dowels.

To implement this installation method, you will need the following tools and materials:

1. Polycarbonate profile of the required length.
2. LED Strip Light.
3. Glue.
4. Dowels or screws.
5. Drill and drill bits for metal and concrete.
6. Marker.

Installation is carried out in the following sequence:

1. In the profile, stepping back from the edge of 2 - 3 cm, holes are made using a drill and a twist drill with a

   

   diameter of 8 mm. The profile is applied to the installation site and the points are marked on the wall with a marker where drilling is necessary to install the fasteners.

2. If the wall is concrete, then a concrete drill is installed on the drill and at the marked points, drilling is carried out to the depth necessary for installing the dowels.
3. Then a polycarbonate profile is installed. The profile body is screwed to the wall using dowels. The LED strip is installed in the same way as in the aluminum profile, for this it is enough to remove the protective layer and press the strip tightly to the base of the plastic profile. If you are installing a corner profile for an LED strip, then to install such a structure, you should use the adhesive installation method.

There are alternative options for LED strips powered by 220V without a power supply, which have a sealed shell, which allows them to be used for street lighting.
