Before gluing cork wallpaper, you should make sure that your wall is flat, processed and ready for use, that is, for wallpapering. It is necessary to understand that the wall should be absolutely even, since after gluing the cork material, all irregularities and flaws will be very striking, so you should take care of this in advance so that you do not regret what has been done later. But a strong wall putty is not necessary. You can just get by with lighthouse starting plaster or putty. In this case, it is possible not to use the finishing putty at all, but it is worth priming the surface or flaws with soil.

Sticking cork wallpaper begins with the purchase of a special cork glue or glue of similar composition. You can also choose acrylic glue, but then gluing may resemble gluing tiles. Here you will have to apply glue to the wall using a comb and press the cork boards hard against the wall.

It is very important to know that when working with cork wallpaper, they cannot be bent and deformed, as well as gluing them overlapping corners - all this is very important. This material should only be glued end-to-end, and cut with very strong scissors.

Due to the tight packaging, cork wallpaper is slightly wrinkled, which is why, before gluing, you should cut them into strips and let them lie on the floor a little. This also applies to tiles. Before you start work, you need to carefully mark the wall. To do this, you need to draw horizontal and vertical lines in the middle of the wall (this is very important especially when working with tiles). If you want to cut only at the bottom, you can slightly offset the horizontal line. If you are gluing wallpaper, then you should outline only a vertical line and start gluing from it in both directions, then the cut will be uniform on all sides. Now you can start gluing.

If you have chosen a thick glue, then you should type it with a small spatula and apply it to the wall with a comb. Apply the glue only to the glued area of the wallpaper sheet or tile, otherwise the glue may dry out.

After applying the glue, press the cork wallpaper firmly against the wall. It is best and correct to glue cork wallpaper together, since during work one person will press down at the top, and the other will hold the sheet at the bottom.

Glue this material butt joint, but make sure that no matter how glue comes out of the joints, and even more so on the cork itself. If, nevertheless, this happened, then you should not wipe off the glue immediately, it is best to wait, and after it dries, carefully tuck it up.
