Orsoten - instructions for use

The drug belongs to the group of drugs for the treatment of obesity, is an inhibitor of gastrointestinal lipases. The drug acts in the stomach and small intestine, inactivating enzymes that break down fats. Triglycerides of dietary fats due to the action of the drug are no longer split into monoglycerides and free fatty acids, they are not absorbed into the blood through the walls of the stomach and intestines. The amount of calories entering the body decreases, which leads to a decrease in body weight.
The drug acts exclusively in the digestive tract, without entering the general bloodstream. Non-split fat enters the feces after 1-2 days, and together with them is excreted from the body. Orsoten is available in the form of white capsules containing microgranules or a mixture of granules with powder. The return to the initial state of the metabolism of the digestive tract occurs 2-3 days after discontinuation of the drug.

Side effects

Interaction with other medicinal products
- With the simultaneous administration of anticoagulants (Warfarin) - a decrease in the level of prothrombin, a change in hemostatic parameters;
